A New Method for Imaging Tectonic Plates Utilising Gravitational Waves in the Universe
If a person's hand is injured and we wish to examine its internal structure for medical diagnosis, it is sufficient to perform an X-ray or, for other internal organs, an MRI scan. Similarly, in order to examine the Earth's tectonic plates and gain insight into the structure of geological strata, the dynamics of plate motions, and related phenomena, accurate high-precision imaging of these plates is essential.
While various methods currently exist for such imaging, gravitational waves possess superior penetrative capabilities through solid matter. By employing satellite-based gravitational radiography, we can capture the most accessible and highest-quality images of the internal sections of the Earth's plates. Analysing these images enables the prediction of earthquakes, fault movements, volcanic eruptions, and other seismic events. In essence, these waves allow for a comprehensive sonography of the Earth's crust and its interior.
Note: Gravitational radiographic devices can be mounted on and operated from scientific balloons, UAVs (drones), satellites, aircraft, and various other airborne or orbital platforms.
