Why Do Galaxies Vary in Size?

After galaxies were discovered, scientists realised they come in many different shapes, such as discs, rings, and spheres. Many theories have been proposed to explain why this happens, but none of them truly capture the reality or provide a clear explanation. This text aims to correctly explain the real cause of this phenomenon.

Considering the actual and real phenomenon of Big Bang, it was a moment when particles collided at the ‘initial point’—the beginning of the universe. At that moment, all matter and objects were gathered together in one place with an incredibly high density before they began to move away from each other. In essence, it was a massive collision and a sudden spreading out simultaneously.

Based on previous texts, every particle has its own specific linear and rotational motion. Since particles and objects move at different speeds, they create various linear and rotational velocities. By the end of the inflation period, as these particles were drawn toward each other, these different motions resulted in the various shapes we observe in galaxies today. For example, if the linear speed of a galaxy's objects is high, it becomes disc-shaped; if their rotational speed is higher, it becomes a spiral; and if their rotational and linear speeds are almost equal, it becomes spherical.
